Half way there.

The mounted units now have uniforms and other items now covered.

The selection of coat colour is based purely on the most frequently seen in period paintings as the notion of national uniforms was still evolving. Most common coat colour are the “iron grey” worn by most armies, followed by blue and red, most often worn by royal or gentlemen regiments. I used two shades of blue for the German States assisting the Imperial Austrians.

To add variety, each pair with the same coat colour will have different coloured shabraque and pistol housings. Further, the boots are painted either black or brown and other leather items will have different shades of yellow brown or beige adding more variation.

Next step is the highlighting and some tidying up to do before I move on to the last step.

Cheers,
