The “uniform”
details are now better defined for those units having red or blue colour. Parts
to be painted white will be handled next, followed by a host of small details;
powder horn, apostles, belting, faces and hair. All that after lunch.
Figures are
now ready for varnishing. On the whole I would say the project was done at a
relaxing tempo. Taking a break from painting, I began searching the internet
for further information about flags of this period; the French units were not a
problem, but finding Imperial units are.
Tomorrow the
mounted and skirmishers will receive their flocking. The infantry should be dry
that I can begin the ground work for them. Allowing a few days for the flags
(researching and painting) the armies should be ready for a grand review with
photos.
Cheers,

Thank you. The varnish has dried and I will add the pike to the bases and add groundwork later today.
Grass and tufts are all that is needed for the mounted figures and these will be done.
In between, I have been doing a lot of research for flags and I think I shall write this up and post this with photos tomorrow.
Cheers,
