Musketeers and Grenadiers done

There are no regimental distinctions among the musketeer and grenadier units within the Russian army. Flags gave some unit identity, yet variety was somewhat limited.

Both shoes and gaiters are black, but I use a dark grey and dry brush to fade the gaiter and make distinct the shoes. OG miniatures are well detailed showing buttons, heels and buckles where appropriate.

The three packs of infantry are now 24 battalions of musketeers and 12 of grenadiers.
These are grouped into nine brigades. These are ready to be sent off to another pair of hands that will add ground, flock and flags.

Next, the artillery, generals and dragoons are on the project list.

A very impressive work!

Phil,

Thank you. The increased speed is due to basing the figures before priming and painting. It is not a technique for everyone, but I enjoy it.

The 72 elements of infantry, cavalry, artillery and generals should be done in six weeks.

Cheers,
Robert
