Better known as His Britannic Majesty’s Army in Germany, this collection is for the most part complete. All Hanoverian regiments have their flags and with the addition of more infantry and cavalry, the British contingent is strengthened.
Hannover
The five
battalions of foot, represented here are Alt-Zastrow, Sporken, Ledebour,
Diepenbroick and Jung-Zastrow.
Hanover’s modest collection of guns and the Jäger Corps.
Hanoverian cavalry now have four regiments of horse; Dachenhausen, Hammerstein, Grothaus, Hodenberg and two regiments of dragoons; Bock and Breidenbach.
Hesse-Kassel
The Hessian
contingent are the smallest group with four battalions here represented by Fürstenberg,
Mansbach, Prinz Ysenburg and Canitz.
Great Britain
Since its
first appearance in early February the British have been greatly expanded. Seen
here, left to right, the 12th, the 20th and
the 23rd regiments of foot.
Supporting the infantry are the 87th Keith’s Highlanders and the 88th Campbell’s Highlanders with a converged battalion Maxwell’s Grenadiers.
Another modest collection of artillery.
Seen in the lower left corner are two regiments of horse, the 1st King’s Dragoon Guards, 3rd Dragoon Guards and to their left, the dragoon regiments, the 2nd Royal North Dragoons (Greys), 6th Inniskilling Dragoons, 10th Dragoons Mordaunt’s.
