Seven Years War project, the Prussians.

The Prussians were recently refurbished, reorganised, rebased and ready for combat. The miniatures are Old Glory 15mm painted 25 years ago. Referring to Old Glory’s catalogue, a number of poses are no longer available for which I feel fortunate.

In the first photo, there are 8 battalions of infantry and a collection of Jaeger companies. In the second there are 3 battalions of grenadiers, 3 battalions of fusiliers flanked by a Frei battalion, bringing some variation to the collection.

The cavalry seen here represent 2 regiments of cuirassiers, 2 regiments of dragoons and 2 regiments of hussars. There number may seem weak, however, there are another 30 elements in need of rebasing to increase their number two-fold. The Austrian collection have a similar number of extras, but both armies will need to wait and see what develops with the final army.

Finally, the artillery, at the moment 6 battalion guns and 4 heavier pieces.

Prussian Generals; 6 for the infantry, 4 for the cavalry and Der Alte Fritz.
