Dockside grows into a small town

Two weeks ago, I had placed several photos showing the newly constructed warehouses and dockside. Construction was not a problem and I had a bit of time, so I expanded the first pieces into a small town bringing the total to 20 buildings, including a church and covered bridge.

One photo shows best the material and cut to size and the facades sketched out. Assembly, after all sides have been cut takes just a few hours. Before adding the roofing supplied by Faller or Vollmer, I reinforce the roof and place cardstock over this. The Faller and Vollmer sheets are very light, but with the additional roof, these buildings are very durable.

Thanks Allan,

The town cries out for civilian figures. The civilian drivers in one of the photos are from the Essex 1700 series; infantrymen with improvised weapons. Currently, I am looking at using the meager number of unpainted figures (ancient/naploeonics) to convert to civilians.

Cheers,
Robert
