In creating my 18th century world, I did not want to exclude Fantasy. For this I created the Archipelago Ameri-go, a large island chain, and home to my Melnibonéan Elves. During their introduction, there was much discussion about their possibly supplanting mythical Atlantis.
Further advanced than 18th century man, the Melnibonéan Elves have remained relatively undiscovered, only the local natives trading with other tribes of mainland New Canada and New Spain relate tall tales of daemons and people of ashen coloured skin.
Inspired by some of the work of Paul Potter of Fanaticus fame, I decided to elevate some figures to enhance their placement on the new bases. The Magician looks great on the outcropping and the tigers are now in a position to “leap out” as opposed to being herded.
The raised sections are from a placemat made of cork. Torn in irregular shapes, the sections were glued down on the base and allowed to dry. Next week I should finish the ground work for the entire collection. In the planning are war-wagons, some flying machines, galleys, and some fortifications.
With the re-release of Demonworld miniatures, I have finally located suitable witches:
Ice Witch Furies

Wow! Those we did not know yet look as great as the previous ones!
The Ice Witches look perfect indeed for your purpose.
Do you have an idea for the War Dancers?
*Great* to have news of your 18th C. Melniboneans!
Jean Louis,
Again, Demonworld could serve suitable figures, but it is a question of patience as the Dark Elves have not been release.
These Elf Galorea look less fierce than the Ice Witches.
